Oh, how I dread that morning alarm
Blaring and echoing off the room walls
As I lie half-awake contemplating
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day

How long will this cycle continue
Days go by feeling unsatisfied
All just for that fleeting moment
Of peaceful morning shut-eye

Today will not be the same
I will not succumb to this odious vice
No more running from my problems
Into an endless abyss of despair

I arise like a newborn phoenix
Blazing with great might and passion
With my focus fixed on the radiant road ahead
I run for a better tomorrow.
